Apple unveiled the features of iOS 9 on 9th June 2015 at the WWDC keynote for their fans as well as developers. By now, we all know what are the big features Apple has come up with iOS 9. However, there are few small features remained to be uncovered.
1. EXTENDED BATTERY LIFE
For years, iPhone users were switching manually in order to prolong their battery life. Apple has given attention to the battery issues with iOS 9.

Low power mode
- Blocks background running apps
- Stops the Email app
- Turns off the animations
- Limits network activity and performance
- Adjusts the screen brightness
- Slows down the processor
Facedown mode
- Determining face down through ambient light and proximity sensors
- Turn off the screen automatically, even with the notification pop up off
2. SECRET DRIVE – iCLOUD
Apple always comes up with behind the scenes functions when it comes to file management. With iOS 9 there is a little bit change for users to manage tons of docs. As per the reports, iOS 9 has the iCloud Drive app for such types of users as they are doing it on the web.
It is not visible in the list of the app from the menu. Access to iCloud Drive would need to switch on from the home screen.
3. SEARCH TOPPING ON SETTINGS
In iOS 9, now you will get a search bar over the settings apps. You can just type in some letters in the search box and reach the desired type of settings without investing time in navigating screens.
4. ATTACHMENT IN MAIL
Using iCloud Drive, you can finally add attachments to the emails. After selecting a new compose you need to tap and hold in the body section and an attachment option will appear. Docs, photos and videos file can be sent as an attachment.
5. UPDATE ON SIRI
The new Siri on iOS 9 has been redesigned which looks similar to the Siri in apple watch. The features included in Siri with this new update, are context-mindful skills, proactive assistance and a highly effective search facility to provide smarter experience.
